American boxer Joe Louis (Leonard Roberts) meets German champion Max Schmeling (Til Schweiger) in the ring in 1936, and Schmeling emerges victorious. They fight in the ring once again in 1938, and Louis hospitaliSes his German counterpart. Schmeling, a member of the Nazi party, survives WWII, hears of the hard times that Louis has fallen on, and seeks out his former sparring partner to help him. This begins a touching, long-term friendship between the former opponents.

    Joe and Max

    This film had excellent acting. As it was based on a true story, I liked the fact that it went on to tell us at the end, what happened to the characters afterwards.Great film!
