Superb drama...By Michael Oglesby from Norwich, Norfolk , 03 Mar 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Another John Grisham novel turned into a movie. The Rainmaker is superb in contrast with A Time To Kill and The Client. Matt Damon is just great, on the same par as he was in Good Will Hunting. Danny DeVito is funny, which give the film life. Danny Glover plays the Judge in his no bullsh|t attitude, which is great. There are loads of other stars in this movie. The DVD is a let down though. No extras of any kind. There are other languages, French and Spanish. There are multiple subtitles as well. It's in Widescreen in 5.1 English sound.

Another good John Grisham adaptationBy a customer from Huddersfield , 28 Mar 2009I've never read a John Grisham novel, just seen them on movies, but they've all been good and this is no exception. I ve given it only 3 stars because it is not quite as exciting or as tense as some of his other adapted works.
DisappointmentBy retep (53 reviews) from London , 20 Feb 2009I like Grisham's book, but this film for me was not real. Matt Damon has improved so much since this film, but of course everyone has to learn their craft somewhere.
The RainmakerBy a customer from Winchester , 29 Jan 2009The innocence and naivety of this rookie lawyer soon dissipates when faced with the seeminly corrupt US legal system in this gritty and powerful film where good eventually overcomes evil with some help from influential friends. Beautifully acted throughout with some powerful human dynamics, reflecting Grisham's great writing.
Pretty GoodBy a customer from Norfolk , 20 Dec 2008Really enjoyed this film, was not sure what to expect but it was good. A young matt damon along with danny divito who really pulls the movie up, some really good one liners. I enjoyed it immensley. DVD itself had seen better days but it played amazingly
The Rain MakerBy a customer from Banstead , 05 Sep 2008I enjoyed the film as Danny DeVito's role was well-acted and funny at times.
