Having listened to the audio tape of this on the way to Scotland with my 9 year old son, we were keen to watch the BBC dramatised version. Thankfully we were not disappointed -although not as good as the book(always the way!) this made for great fun family viewing. A complex plot involving time travel and how it can be used to change events in the future might not be suitable for under 8s, but everyone else should find it understandable and very enjoyable. Recommended Sunday afternoon viewing!
Not a masterpiece, not had much spent on it, people didn't fit characters in the book, but somehow absolutely engrossing and throughly enjoyable. Once you start to see the story unfolding and twisting all the makings imperfections disappear. Keep plenty of time free as you will watch the whole series in one go once you've started.
