It's a hit!
By a customer from Cardiff, Wales , 13 Oct 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
Having listened to the audio tape of this on the way to Scotland with my 9 year old son, we were keen to watch the BBC dramatised version. Thankfully we were not disappointed -although not as good as the book(always the way!) this made for great fun family viewing. A complex plot involving time travel and how it can be used to change events in the future might not be suitable for under 8s, but everyone else should find it understandable and very enjoyable. Recommended Sunday afternoon viewing!- Was this review helpful to you?

By Kerbhugger (3 reviews) , 05 Feb 2012Brilliant adaptation of an even more brilliant book. My grandsons ( 8 and 10 ) were enthralled the whole way though it and had a great time 'discussing' it afterwards! Worth it for that alone lol . So good I watched it again with my husband. Highly recommended. Just wish they'd made Johnny and the Dead too .- Was this review helpful to you?

'Johnny and the bomb'
By oohie (2 reviews) from Torpoint , 23 Apr 2009This was a really good film. I liked the way it had time travel in it. I liked how time tavel was from now, back to the second world war time. The film showed how things were in the second world war, how people dressed, what happened when thee germans bombed a street. It would be great if this could really happen! This is a good film for children around 10 - 15 I think.
