An acceptable filmBy Gladfan (37 reviews) from Manchester , 22 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Of all the films i have seen this rates as moderate. The story is somewhat funny, the effects cost more than a fiver but I am sorry to say that Keanu can and has done better than this. The priest however makes this movie watchable just for its comedy value, the man is so camp and plays the role so well. The movie is also a summer job for the music industry with Henry Rollins (rollins band) and rapper friends in tow.
On the whole as i say its medle of the road in all aspects. Only see this if you are a fan of Keanu and need to tick it of the movie list, otherwise its one to avoid.

just your average hollywood hack job of a top class cyber fi storyBy Silkvelvet (21 reviews) , 27 Jun 2012If you haven't read the story by William Gibson, then I am sure this is an acceptable film.
If you have read the story however, this film will leave you saying EH?!?!!?!??!
Basically, it's a typical hollywood hack job of a top notch cyber-fi story, they got the data chip in the brain right, the name of the characters right, the dolphin right, but that's all.........
They couldn't even get Molly right!!
Mnemonic JohnnyBy Bobro (16 reviews) from Blackburn , 17 Nov 2011awesome film, loved the concept (very sci fi) and i like Keanu Reeves as an actor. This is Nineties cheese movie of the sci fi genrea and its fine. i love this techno sci fi stuff and if you do too you will enjoy.
Johnny, Computer BrainBy Emjay69 (341 reviews) from Kidlington, Oxford , 23 Oct 2011Not a lot to say about this Sci-Fi Thriller. It's an average film doing an average job for average people. It's not that compelling,or thrilling, though it does get better toward the end.
If you have nothing better to do, watch it.
old school but storyline proBy tommygun999 (6 reviews) from England , 22 Jun 2011A bit of an old school cyber fiction film. It lacks the extravagant cinematics of up to date films but I don't think that's a bad thing, actually I think its a good thing as the story line stands on its own two feet rather then hiding behind special effects. The plot is straight forward and believable and a must see for sci-fi fans. Although some of the acting is a little poor it is made up for with the characters.
In summary the film sticks to the point, is not totally predictable and can be enjoyed by a wide audience.
They say never meet your childhood hero...By Hightower (6 reviews) from Coventry , 13 Apr 2010
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI LOVED this film when I was younger. Yes, I was a Geek. But there was just so much to clap your hands and shout COOL! at the TV about in this film (Dolph Lundgren as a blade-wielding Terminator-ish Jesus at the very least). However, I just rented this again after a heated debate amongst my peers, and boy was I surprised at how ridiculous and cheesy it turned out to be. Not to mention, Keanu Reeve's acting in this film IS HIS WORST EVER!! And that's saying something.
I would recommend this only to the hardiest of geeks - and if you have fond memories of it, don't watch it again, it'll spoil them.
