    Johnny Was, I have been.......

ROBBED of nearly two hours of my life watching this drivel.

I love Snatch, Lock Stock, Gangster No1, Sexy Beast, Hard Men, etc. and this comes nowhere close. Even 'The Business' puts this in the shade. Not Vinnies best career move and as for Lennox Lewis........he should've stayed at home. Extremely dodgy acting, even dodgier accents, and a plot that's just nothing. Some of the action scenes are good, but not many. I was really looking forward to watching this and was left bitter and disappointed. I don't like dissing films, but this really was dire. Its not the fault of anyone inparticular (maybe director Mark Hammond) but none of it was any good and it was all put together in such a poor fashion, the whole film was just rubbish. Don't make the same mistake I did. Give it a miss !

    Decent Film

Well when I opened the envelope I couldnt remember what the film was about, so I watched with a very open mind!

I really enjoyed it! Ok it wasnt, in my opinion, the next snatch or lock stock, but it was funny, light hearted and at times bloody violent!!

A good selection of characters made this film a good all rounder. But I feel it was more a low budget brit flick that will just become one you watch when your a tad bored!

Johnny Was - quite good actually!

I was very, very surprised at this film. I was expecting a lot of violence and not a lot else really, but that was far from the truth.

There is violence in there with a few nasty bits thrown in, but with the one liners and the cast they chose to act in this it's actually quite a good film! I'd never even heard of it before and I'm not even sure it broke to the cinema, but I loved it!

I'd recommend this to anyone who wants violence, laughter and a great film to watch!

I like Vinnie in films but there was just something missing in this one but I think as an actor he is as good as the rest

Give him some better parts and I think he will get a nomination for the top award

    Keep going Mr Jones

    Dont waste your time

Please do not waste your time on this drivel. There are a couple of points where I smiled, but other than that, its a total waste of time. The acting is appaling, the script is disjointed, the plot unbelievable and the directing worse than you could possibly imagine.

    dont bother!

Thought we were in for a good watch with the impressive cast. We thought it was one of the worst films we've ever sat thru. just cant say much more than that.

    Brilliant

Im going to make a film about irish republicanism set in Brixton instead of Belfast,. For actors Im going to use an ex footballer, an ex pop star, an ex rockstar and an ex heavyweight champion of the world. Then of course the leading man has play an irishman who doesnt sound irish, and the leading lady is going to sound but not look irish. Anyone lend me the money to make it.? I didnt think so. Well someone else got the money and made a brilliant and enjoyable film that i reckon will become a cult classic like Snatch. Well worth watching. Good storyline, casting, and with plenty of action.

    Oh Dear !!!

So what do you get when you put together an overrated ex boxer, a former football player, a rubbish ex popstar, an aging Rockstar and Mr Soul Glow from Coming to America ??? Well I'll tell you now what you get, a pile of cr*p that's what!! The story is pathetic and the acting is rubbish except for Patrick Bergin who is the best thing about this film by far. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Surprisingly Good!

If you like Vinne Jones you need to get this film, his Irish accent is brilliantlly awful and the film was a bit OTT.

But if you like a fast story, action and humour you will like this.

Lennox Lewis i thought played a very good part and was a not a bad actor as i was expecting for a boxer. Samantha Mumba also done not to bad also.

Overall if u like the usual british shoot em up its worth the watchin especially for Vinnie's accent gives u a good laugh.
