An entertaining potboiler...By JohnnyRoss (373 reviews) from Leeds , 27 Jun 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This film is worth watching. A fast pace film with much action that has a twist with the casting, unlile many Bollywood movies, and has some very good music by Ani Malik. The storyline is different, and the strong performances throughout the movie, help to maintain the audiences attention. However, a typical Bollywood movie in terms of style, structure and presentation. A good watch, nonetheless!

It was okayBy dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 15 Mar 2010Kind of an average film as far as I am concerned. I think the main characters were all a bit too problematic and dramatic for my taste. The whole West Side Story theme was a good one in theory but I just found it a bit flat.Don't let that put you off though because you may really enjoy it, give it one watch at least.
Shah Rukh KhanBy salmanfan (143 reviews) from London , 15 Jun 2009Typical Bollywood. No stretch of the imagination but good entertainment

it has paceBy a customer from Birmingham, UK , 16 May 2006It does not really work but Rai is in killer beauty FORM of subtlty in this song where she is sitting down. I just remember that one song when I rented it out a few years ago, I need to see it again, just for that one video. That slow deep Indian charm, plain yet eternal: she does it so well.
