Superstars of stadium rock in your own living room
This is a retro DVD of Journey's 1981 Escape tour which was, if I remember rightly, the last year that Journey actually did a live concert on UK soil. Although it’s probably not common knowledge in the UK, Journey are one of the top 50 rock bands of all time and many would argue that they are the top rock band to see live. If you can’t afford the 7 hour flight to see them in the USA, this DVD is a pretty good alternative. They were at the height of their fame on the ‘81 tour and, to date, this is the first official full concert video release from that tour. If you are unfamiliar with Journey, they are one of the most talented bands you will ever come across and it’s well worth taking the time to get familiar with their songs. There are some cracking tracks on here and if you like it there are many more to discover in the bands superb back catalogue which stretches right up to the excellent 2005 studio release ‘Generations’.
