[Highly rated reviewer]Some people may laugh at me but I quite enjoyed this film. i have read the book a few times and seen the original james Mason flick but was impressed with this. It kind of twisted the original story and extended on it a little and this worked well.
I would recommend this if you have the ability to be open minded about a remake.

Not what I expectedBy a customer , 06 Aug 2013I was expecting the Brendan Fraser version to arrive, otherwise I'd probably have enjoyed this more. It was OK. The sort of thing shown on TV on a weekday afternoon.
Stick with the Original FilmBy wikkidsmyle (438 reviews) from Newmarket , 11 Apr 2008Treat Williams is no James Mason; the very poor quality CGI dinosaurs are not a patch on the original painted-up lizards; and this flabby TV movie is about 90 minutes too long. It's a pity, as George 'Mad Max' Miller is a quality director and Treat Williams has done a lot better in a 'battling against monsters' role (check out the ace schlock-horror 'Deep Rising'). The original film has been restored and remastered into anamorphic widescreen, and is available now on DVD. Enuff said...
Great family filmBy a customer from UK , 28 Feb 2006If your children are under 10 and like adventure/dinosuar films this is right up your street. Its in two parts so don't make a mistake and miss the second instalment.
