    Judex

    Silly film, altogether pointless unless you know all about this so called superhero. I'm not sure I'd trust him keeping any of my enemies at bay!

    A bit slow

    If only the movie lived up to the magical beginning, set in a masked ball. This honourable homage to the work of Feuillade tries to recreate the feel of it's silent original, whilst dispensing with most of the story. Unfortunately at times it recreates the pace of the original, forgiveable in a silent but not so here.

    Still, a surreal original, previously only available in English as a bad 16mm copy.
