Judgement Day

Deep in space, a meteor collides with a giant asteroid. If fragments from the crash strike earth all life will be eliminated. The government hires Dr. Richard Secor (David Wells)--developer of the THOR anti-meteor device--to stop the impending storm of flaming stone. Everything would be fine, if only Dr. Secor were not in the hands of Thomas Payne (Mario Van Peebles). Payne is a deranged religious cult-leader convinced that the asteroid celestial collision is God's will. With the doctor held hostage by a mad man, the government has no choice but to release a convict named Reese (Ice-T), the zealot's arch-nemesis. Will Reese thwart Payne, release Secor, and redeem himself in time to save the earth
