    [Highly rated reviewer]

Starts of quite well and you expect a well worked out thriller and then too many clues appear and starts becoming obvious who the killer is.

The ending seems to drag on as if the director lost interest in the film and the tension seems to dissipate.

Falls between a ridiculous Hollywood thriller and an intelligent Independent movie.

  • Great start, pain-inducing ending

Quite a decent film that builds up to a great crescendo of suspense. It is somewhat ruined though by the ending which is stretched out for far too long, sending the character to do very unintelligible things to survive. I found myself losing empathy for her, begging that both her and I be put out of our misery as soon as possible. I just wanted it to end...in the end!

Excellent film. Was gripped throughout & the way it was shot was excellent for building tension. I didn't find it predictable & until you see the killer face to face I was kept guessing as to who it was, even when you think you've got it sussed, something else throws you. It's not who you think it is....

British born but fluent Spanish speaker and I adore watching wonderful Spanish films that are as well made & acted as this one. Truly creepy in places but great film - well worth a watch even if you have to rely on sub-titles!

The film had a decent, if somewhat cliché, beginning (i. e. everybody immediately dismisses the idea that the sister may have been murdered and won't investigate or take Julia seriously), which would have been slightly more effective if we hadn't SEEN the sister being murdered in the first scene. Despite this, the first half of the film was genuinely interesting and gripping. There was mystery and tension, as Julia tries desperately to find out the truth about what happened, while also struggling with her deteriorating sight. But then the plot started to get weird, predictable, and just plain silly, and the ending was rather disappointing. It wasn't a terrible film, but it's definitely not brilliant either.

  • best horror film i've seen

I usually stay well away from foreign films as the subtitles put me off but this was by far the BEST horror film I have ever seen! Don't let it put you off when you start thinking its predictable (like the majority of horror films) it keeps you gripped the whole way through. Brilliant story line, I even shed a tear! Definitely worth a watch
