"Juliet Bravo" is often maligned for its poor storylines and shoddy and tacky acting. Stephanie Turner who plays the lead role, does not reflect those views.
The programme is filmed mainly in the begotten towns and villages of a place called Hartley.
In the innocence of the eighties when mobile phones, CCTVs and paedophilia were not in common usage, Juliet Bravo charts the innocence of crime and punishment all too easily forgotten nowadays.
Most of its is film as opposed to video tape and rekindles many memories of a boring Saturday night before Sky and even channel four.
Addictive.
Even if you just watch it to drool over the old cars - it's worth it. I keep waiting for the scenery to fall over, but the in-car scenes are the best - I can just imagine someone standing at the back of the car rocking it to make it seem as if the car is moving
