Most helpful review
Above-average comedy, well worth watching.

The Number1 chart song was a 'gas' ( as Mick wrote and sang it)......so is the film. It's funny........nothing pretentious, no 'message', not much of a plot-----just comedy that makes the viewer laugh. Whoopi is good , and makes me wish she'd become a bigger star and been in more films.Wasn't she mysterious and excellent in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'? Whenever she made one of her infrequent appearances in an episode, you'd know it was going to be an extra-specially good episode.
That reminds me......the leading man in JJFlash is Stephen Collins, who I vowed would be a major star-----duh..what do I know about the film industry ! He had charm, wit and was just right for all the sort of roles someone like James Garner used to get. Collins starred in a very watchable TV series in the early 80s called 'Tales Of The Gold Monkey'----you'd like it, so would your kids.........who's ever heard of it ?????
But back to this funny movie......it's ermmmm 'funny' so watch it.- Was this review helpful to you?
