[Highly rated reviewer]this has to be one of the best adventure stories of all time.
A billionaire played by Richard Attenborough decides to create a theme park based entirely around prehistoric dinosaurs. the film starts with the park being almost complete. several invited guests such as doctor grant played by sam neill, are sent around the park to evaluate it, and they learn that the generation of dinosaurs that are thriving in the park, came from mosquitos through an interesting process - nicely shown though a funny cartoon.
But as mathematician ian malcolm played by Jeff Goldblum soon explains, humans from the current age and dinosaurs from millions of years ago can't adapt, as they soon find out!...
well worth renting out.

Roarrrr!!! Dinosaurs!!!By a customer , 06 Nov 2013Upside - dinosaurs. Downside - Samuel L. Jackson never says his catchphrase. Very exciting film. Unbelievable effects (it would be great in 3D). It's also a great story. But it has dinosaurs! That's reason alone to watch it.
Timeless classicBy mandyjjp (6 reviews) from Weymouth , 17 Aug 2013
[Highly rated reviewer]Excellent timeless film true classic, great family viewing, I watched this with my boys when they were younger, watched it again and again and their 21 now so for all ages and I would be amazed if It ever got a bad comment.
Does not contain Doug McLureBy StickyRickyNutkins (4 reviews) , 15 Aug 2013Anyone who gives this less than four stars should check themselves into a film clinic and be forced to watch all three Anaconda films for 72 hours until they can appreciate the right way to do a monster flick, with good cgi. Even the kids look real.

amazing title. let down by qualityBy atypicalwinter (1 review) , 26 Jul 2013Great classic family film. However it was let down by the quality on video on blu ray. Was expecting a better quality, seeing as its on of Universal's best sellers. Sound was spot on mind. Must watch
