Just like... A good romantic comedy.By Jon from Devon , 05 Jan 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]OK, so it's not hilariously funny, the plot takes some believing and this film is about as intellectually challenging as watching Richard & Judy. But so what! The leading characters Elizabeth (Reese Witherspoon) and David (Mark Ruffalo) are both attractive and likeable and their relationship builds at a nice pace so most viewers will be there at the end hoping for a happy conclusion. The acting from leads and support is good and the film has a warm glow about it, managing to be romantic without quite becoming fingers down the throat stuff. Even a big hairy bloke like me who's not supposed to like this type of film enjoyed it. If you're a hardened cynic with no romance in your soul you'll hate it, for the rest of us of it's a fine feel good movie. Great for a cosy night in all you'll need is this film, a comfy sofa and someone to cuddle up with...

HeavenBy a customer from Plymouth , 24 Jan 2010Great film if you need a good cry - blubbed all the way through this!
Great couples moviesBy C1LS56 (161 reviews) from Tunbridge Wells , 15 Jan 2010I should, at this point, admit to having a bit of a 'thing' for Reese Witherspoon.
However, I'm sure that this is an excellent example of it's genre. It's all there.
Do yourself a favour and watch it on the sofa with your other half - You'll both enjoy it.
Heaven sentBy WattsReviews (12 reviews) from Abingdon , 03 Jan 2010A very enjoyable family movie. Definitely a must see!
Just like HeavenBy Glynellie (3 reviews) from Holywell , 31 Dec 2009Although the 'ghostly love' format is a tried and tested staple of cinema, Just like Heaven has taken a refreshing tilt at the genre. The characters are well matched and well played and the simple plot is none the less enjoyable for its ease of understanding. The Whoopi Goldberg role is played admirably by the lad in the bookshop and taken to a different level in this movie. Highs and lows and satisfying conclusion make this a wonderful film to sit back and enjoy together.
GreatBy a customer from Rochford , 31 Dec 2009We watched this film with our 9 year old daughter. Both my husband and daughter were originally reluctant but we all really enjoyed 'Just like Heaven'. It is a modern day 'Ghost' type plot with good acting and some laughs thrown in too. I would recommend this film for a light-hearted, rainy day film!
