Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

There are three kinds of married people in the world. First, whose marriages are arranged, I’ve never quite understood that, but I’m sure they know what they’re doing. Then there are those who fall in love and marry their soul mates. These few, I believe, are the most fortunate people in the world. And lastly, there are those couples that marry for their parents, for money or play it safe and marry a friend. These are the most unfortunate ones in the world… and they don’t even know it. Until one day, riding the fast train of life they run into their soulmate, and are faced with the hardest question of all. What do you do when you meet the love of your life and you’re married to someone else? What do you do? What do you do?

    Excellent Refreshing Movie

Kabi Alvida Na Kehna has really broken barriers in terms of contemporary Bollywood Movies, a usual break from the dreary boy meets girl, they fall in love and then family tensions / Greed from opposing parties break them up.

It was refreshing to see in a Bollywood film Karan Johar tackling the issue of how love develops, in a non-society conforming way which is not necessarily the most moral of ways. This movie really is for the modern Asian, who is able to open their eyes, and embrace reality.

Acting was great from all parties, with beautiful songs and Cinematography.

A must see film, and a credit to the young up and coming Karan Johar.

    Complete fake

The one star is due to the daring storyline. Though not a conventional bollywood theme, the director should be commended to tackle such a bold theme in a very conventional bollywood manner.

But the screenplay is horrible with so many unreal scenarios and characters - actually I was cringing at the director's stupidity. Among the million and one stupid situations, one to pick is the AB snr character - A supposedly millionnaire (who made his millions by working hard) playing around after he retires is a complete joke (Bachan Snr.) Typical Karan Johar crap.

Complete non sense other than very daring and commendable theme. Songs are worth watching and listening once. That's all. Wait for the songs DVD. Stay away from the movie.
