A sub-classic all the way

I guess the main talking point is going to be about Brad, so here's my bit - in this film he seems driven to portray the opposite of everything he is in real life - nasty, vile, awful etc, but at the same time, shows that piece of him that everyone wants to be - utterly self-confident and able to do the things others wish they could do (very much like in Fight Club).
He is perfect for this film, and is genuinely unpredictable and scary. Matched with Juliette Lewis, they are the ideal trailer trash couple, and you end up feeling very sorry for JL's character. In some respects they take away from the other performances, but the whole film feels right - a modern thriller in structure and a decent look at two completely different cultures coming together - especially as they're both white american cultures.
