Kalifornia

Director Dominic Sena
Genres Drama
Run time 118 mins Certificate 18

25th February 2008

Emotionally effective and visually interesting, Kalifornia is both dramatic road movie and serial killer character study. Duchovny and Forbes are an engaging and appealing on screen couple, Juliette Lewis plays the abused girlfriend with childlike innocence to perfection but it's Pitt's powerful and quirky portrayal of a redneck killer, which entices throughout and supplies the film with its energy and tension. Not outstanding, but a sturdy thriller.
