Filmed in Africa, Spain and Italy, Kandasamy stars 'Chiyan' Vikram and Shriya Saran in the leading roles. Two-times National Film Award winner for Best Actor, Vikram plays a secret investigating officer with Special Branch, adept at uncovering the mysteries of life and death. He's an unselfish and dedicated person who helps the downtrodden and fights against discrimination. Sporting an unusually boyish hair cut, Shriya is the love interest who can be both sweet and sour.
