Funniest thing on TV for ages!
By a customer from Lancashire , 15 Nov 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
Karl Pilkington the round headed chimp like man is shipped off to see the 7 wonders of the world by Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant as part of their practical joke on him.
Karl starts off the series believing the show is to be called 'Karl Pilkingtons wonders of the world' and finds out mind series the actual title.
This will have you gasping for each breath as the antics that Karl gets up to and the things he says are so outrageous (and often true) would crack anybody up!
Loved the series, provides an alternative aspect to the great wonders and it's all in HD!
Bring on series 2 Karl!- Was this review helpful to you?

(71)Pilkington Brilliance
By a customer , 08 Apr 2013Totally agree with praise. Not a Gervais fan though and this does nothing to exalt his credibility. This is all about Karl Pilkington. Off the wall, makes Victor Meldrew look like the eternal optimist. Not sure he knows how hilarious that is. Stephen Merchant does play the voice of reason perfectly though.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 18 Mar 2013Thought it was as funny as the others but i did think it was a little short and i was a bit disappointed that Karl didn't do that much really.. could of gone to maybe more exciting places..- Was this review helpful to you?

Karl Pilkington Rules
By a customer , 11 Feb 2013For me the cleverest part of this program is not the 'idiot' Karl, as he's not an idiot, nor the jokes and scenarios he goes through. The genius is the locations, the culture & the people who are met by a very underwhelmed cynic. You get to see some of the reality behind the supposed 'seven wonders' - people selling tat and depressing tourist traps. Karl is a natural wit, speaking his mind all the time without any inhibitions or preconceptions. A very brilliant and original idea that works as a comedy, a drama and a documentary.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth a Watch
By a customer , 25 Dec 2012Love this guy, he never fails to make me laugh. I would recommend watching this. Plus you do learn about other countries and different cultures. I can't wait for number 3 to arrive.- Was this review helpful to you?
