Something Different
By Shanra (7 reviews) from U.K. , 12 May 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
Karthik.. is a lonely coward but suddenly how he became so intelligent to handle the situvations? Who is watching his back? Could he save himself from him? Outstanding performance from Farhan Akhtar. Different medical criteria which will make us keep thinking, Is this POSSIBLE? An excellent story from vijay.- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)Bollywood with an edge?
By CageyS (18 reviews) from Lyme Regis , 10 Dec 2011This film has songs, dance and romance but it is definitely not a standard bollywood rom-com. It has an edge, Who is calling Karthik? Who is helping him improve his sad life? Oh, and will he get the girl?!
If you've never watched an Indian film or found bollywood films a bit over-the-top then watch Karthik. You'll be surprised.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic Plot highly recomend you watch it
By a customer , 25 Sep 2011Wow what a brilliant film - to be honest I wasnt expecting much perhaps a Kramer v Kramer type film or something. The story line, the actig and the cinemetography are excellent and as the story develops its keeps you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommend this to all.- Was this review helpful to you?

Ring the Changes
By Krystof (77 reviews) from Bracknell , 04 Sep 2011I had never watched an Indian movie before this one. Standard 'bollywood' with its song and dance routines did not appeal but from reading reviews I knew this was not one of those.
It turned out to be a very intriguing film. Karthik is receiving life changing 'phone calls but you don't know if they are real or not. As the plot unfolds some things are explained but the explanations only throw up more questions.
The language is strange. The cast constantly switch between English and Indian (I don't know which particular Indian language) which means that you will need the subtitles. So if you can't read then avoid this movie!
The soundtrack is quite good. Modern but with an Indian flavour.
Definitely worth a watch!

More such films please
By a customer , 24 Jul 2011I really enjoyed this film. Akhtar's acting was terrific. The only poor piece of direction was when Karthik was lying on the bed facing the camera and his eyes looked crazed. In terms of the schizophrenia I am going to read about the varieties because although I know very well people with this disease they do not display like Karthik. However, sometimes it is not worth getting too technical when enjoying a film.- Was this review helpful to you?
