I?m not normally a fan of Australian culture, but Kath and Kim is a show that truly rocks. It?s pitched somewhere between The Office and Neighbours, being filmed as a sort of fly-on-the-wall insight into a suburban home. The daughter of the pairing, Kim, is truly loathsome, yet in her own little way her mother Kath has little to recommend her either (aside from a misplaced decency on occasion). It?s all very broad comedy ? subtle as a brick ? but funny as hell once you get on its wavelength (there?s gold in them there hills)! As Series Three has attracted guest artists of the calibre of Kylie Minogue and Geoffrey Rush, this is clearly a production that the cream of Australian?s acting fraternity wish to be seen in?- Was this review helpful to you?

Life with the lid off, in the suburbs of Melbourne as Kath deals with her spoiled daughter Kim who constantly walks out on her husband.
This is real life as the Aussies live in - so we are led to believe. The equivalent to a British Mrs. Bucket only more down to earth, more fun and with sun.
From the start to finish there are one liners and double entendres you may miss if not careful. The best thing to do is watch it twice.

By a customer from uk , 06 Mar 2007i enjoy all of kath and kim it focuses on kath day a fitness fanatic and kim a lazy slob who is marrie d to brett and hangs aroun d her mums house whinining and her 2nd best mate sharon is her gopher she will do anyhting sharon is overweight disaster area but looks up to kim . different episodes follow 4 characters through difficulft and funny times a good comedy from austrailia the accent is funny too- Was this review helpful to you?
