  • A must-see gem of a movie!

    [Highly rated reviewer]

I was somewhat worried about this movie being a police drama because Bollywood's handling of them is usually so uninvolving, however my fears were put to rest over the course of three delightful hours. The narrative sags occasionally, and I found my attention wavering but if you are patient and allow the story to unfold, you will not be disappointed. The story initially revolves around 5 police officers and the effort has been made to flesh out each character, thereby humanising each one so that the audience can actually relate to their lives. The actors' performances are adequate overall, with Mr Bachchan's a cut above the rest as to be expected. The music is very good, there are only 3 songs afterall but 'Kaisa Jadoo' is simply divine and has been resonating in my head ever since. The ending of the movie is terrific, and as the credits roll I guarantee you will feel uplifted, with a renewed faith in the potential for good that we all carry within us.

i have a dvd copy and do watch it once in a while. I thought the movie was excellent. The plot is great, acting great, screen play is good. Sound could be better but overall worth the time you put into it.

Very good film for viewers wishing to get to know Bollywood films a bit better. Great acting and good plot, a bit long but I guess that is something I have to get used to!

  • OUTSTANDING!

Yep I'm one of those guys who think Bollywood is tripe and stupid!

I saw this film and although it took a while to get going it was worth it! Stay away from it if you dont understand the corrupt world of politics. The legend Amitabh Bachan was awesome and so believable in this role and was backed up fantastically by Ajay Devgan as the villain.

This film has it all, the cheesy Bollywood action such as trucks floating through the air and blokes thrown all over the place and smacked in the face....but their singlasses still stay on!? However it had a very meaningful plot and opens your eyes on how the world can work but brings pride back by showing there are good people too.

From a bloke who laughs at Bollywood constantly this is one hell of a film! Long live Amitabh Bachan....legend!
