    [Highly rated reviewer]

Sanjay Leela Bhansali made his debut with this film.

Manisha delivers one of her finest performances and she looks pretty.

    Salman in a lovable role.

Nana Patekar and Seema Biswas as the disabled couple who use sign language for communication.

The relationship between these four people is explored.

the director goes on a emotional hyperbole which is his forte ( like Hum dil de chuke sanam, Devdas and Black).

Jatin Lalit do an encore with their scores.

The scene when Manisha expresses anguish after being thrown out of house and the scene where the disabled parents express their helplessness and anger after the tragic death of their kid are powerful.

Nana teaching Manisha to sell soaps with his sign language and the scene in which he stands before an audience reminds you of the film Black.

In short Black take off from the end of Khamoshi

This film is utter rubbish. Poor acting confirms Salman Khan as a bad actor. I only watched about 30 minutes and turned off. Avoid like the plague!

Khamoshi, first movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Director of Devdas and Black), is a roller coaster of emotions and can easily make anyone cry. The story revolves around Manisha Koirala, who is born to a mute and hearing impaired couple. Manisha's finds love in her life but her parents do not like her new friend (Salman Khan). Sadly, her grandmom (Helen) is no more alive, in which she used to find solace. The song tracks and the touchy music further adds to all the emotional excitement. Overall: A must watch!
