In KICKING & SCREAMING, funny man Will Ferrell's (OLD SCHOOL, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY) humorous man-child antics meet actual kids on the soccer pitch. He plays vitamin salesman Phil Weston, a sensitive man easily capable of both crying and sewing. Unfortunately for Phil, these qualities have never quite endeared .. Read more

We're in slacker territory again, as a group of recent college grads (including Josh Hamilton and Olivia D'Abo) try to figure out what to do with their lives. Eric Stoltz plays the guy they don't want to become, a grad student who's been tending bar for the last ten years while he (allegedly) works on his dissertation. Everybody in this movie speaks in a painfully witty manner and it takes a while to go anywhere, but a lot of the dialogue is quite funny.
Amiable comedy that provides Ferrell with his best role so far, as a man who is distressed to discover that he is becoming more and more like his father.

This just isn't funny, even for kids. The jokes are predictable and weak, characters even weaker and the story is corny. Don't bother at all with this one.
THIS IS A FANTASTIC FILM FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. PLENTY OF LAUGHS WITH A GOOD STORYLINE.
Even the ever funny will ferrell couldn't save this one. Performances by the kids are just not good enough and the script is much too thin. I'd advise you give this one a miss.
Will Ferrell is one of the funniest men around at the moment. Kicking And Screaming has not got the greatest story line ever but Ferrell makes up for that with some good lines. Ideal for the family, in the sort of Home Alone mode which can't be bad!!

I am a massive fan of Will Ferrell, yet 'Kicking and Screaming' is just about as poor as it gets; no wonder it dived at the box office. I cannot understand why he made this film; its depressingly average from start to finish, with Ferrel's co-star, Robert Duval looking too lost (and too old) to pull off what should be a good children's film. The reduction of the comedy to predominantly slapstick humour is testament to such problems. I would, however, recommend 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' in which Ferrell knocks out one of the funniest comedy performances of last year.
great family film exspecially 4 the young boys it defenaitly makes you realise that winnin isnt everything
load of rubbish,my 8 year old watched 30 mins and lost interest which is unlike him.id rather watch the villa its that bad
VERY FUNNY FROM START TO END.
WILL F MAKES THIS FILM HIS OWN.
RENT IT YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED.
For my 8 year daughter who enjoys football, this was a great film.
For me it was interesting to see Mike Ditka, who I remember from when American Football was popular in the 80's in the film.
Standard American sentimentality, but great for kids.
The film was ok, funny in places. The best bits were the extras that showed how they cast for the italians, also it showed a good background of how much fun the kids had whilst filming.

You get the latest hint of that deeper, committed talent -- the humanist behind the prankster's mask
Ferrell is a very funny man and he always delivers
