A fun beginning to a new series

Kiddy Grade is, on the strength of these first three episodes, an enjoyable, fluffy sci-fi adventure busy with action, gadgetry, peril and gratuitous shots of the heroine's underwear - all standard for an anime TV series. The characters are fun (particularly exuberant action-girl Eclair) and the hints of a darker backstory no doubt to be developed in future episodes.
The English dub leaves something to be desired, and the decision to translate the songs into English has thankfully been confined to only a few anime releases, of which this is unfortunately one. Also, a measly three episodes seems too few for the opening disc of a 26-episode TV series. But if you want to indulge in some no-brainer sci-fi hijinks (and don't mind some suggestive content - I wouldn't recommend this for the under-13 audience), I can certainly recommend Kiddy Grade.
