Dramatised Fiction
By Rip from Manchester , 03 May 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
[Highly rated reviewer]
Attention seeking drama students trying to shock while stereotyping ordinary everyday people, and making capital out of news stories which apply to a small minority of circumstances. Bringing all the news stories together and placing them in one school amongst one group of people is tarnishing an easy target and an unforgivable means of trying to achieve fame and fortune at someone else's expense. You may enjoy the storyline but please see it for what it is, exaggerated fiction, regardless of what other comments are made by people who think they are living on the edge.....(and this is written by someone who has been threatened with a knife, threatened with having kneecaps blown off and physical violence...all very rare and unusual occurrences)- Was this review helpful to you?

By Bobsview (559 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 03 Apr 2013Hard hitting very shocking story of modern London youth culture. You need a strong stomach to get through this. Very depressing and thought provoking. The black dialogue is hard to follow.- Was this review helpful to you?

What a nasty world we live in!!
By badbrain06 (18 reviews) , 09 Feb 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
Hmmm! Maybe I am too old to appreciate this film! If teenage life in London is really like how the film portrays it then I feel sad for the youth of today..... I did keep watching but was waiting for something to happen, which it did at the very end! An interesting take on the potentially violent and drug filled world that teenagers no doubt face these days, even if it was, in my opinion, a bit over the top at times!- Was this review helpful to you?

Very well played out and acted film
By Bassman71 (630 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 12 Dec 2012The everyday life of teenagers in West London with a very real and urban setting, written by Noel Clarke. Wasnt sure if I was going to enjoy this and despite its brutal start it turns out to be a very well played out and acted film. Some excellent young talent on offer including a younger Jamie Winstone, Noel Clarke himself and the superb Aml Ameen in the lead. I can see its not for everyone but you quickly get drawn in with the well written and believable characters and the situations as they unfold. Decent soundtrack too featuring The Streets and Dizzee Rascal.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fresh, youthful, sexy and funky
By a customer , 14 Sep 2012I love this film because it depicts the cutting-edge of London youth - the youth anywhere else but London just aren't as cool.
I really love the depiction of black boys as the strong characters, who carry out all the action and who get the white Englishwomen. There are plenty of sexy depictions of teen sex for those who enjoy it, including inter-racial scenes. :D- Was this review helpful to you?
