Can't believe they're finally releasing this on DVD!
Its a Lynda La Plante Thriller from 1995 reshown on 1999 and released on VHS in 1997. How to commit the perfect murder.- Was this review helpful to you?

(17)More a TV movie than a TV series
By a customer , 17 Aug 2011The lead actor is poor but the rest of the acting is good. It does look a bit dated in some parts but the story and concept is still brilliant.
The actual DVD is continuous without episode breaks and it's not obvious where those breaks would have been so it's best to think of it as a TV movie rather than a TV series.
Quality stuff.- Was this review helpful to you?

Rent This - Better Still Buy It!
By a customer from Cardiff , 28 Nov 2010Ignore the poor reviews and rent this.
This is an unusual and cracking thriller made in 1997 and shown in 1998.
It is Lynda La Plante so can't be that bad!- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't bother renting
By SiClark (8 reviews) from London , 27 Sep 2009I remember watching this on TV years ago when I was a teenager and remembered it being pretty good. I had completely forgotten about it until I somehow stumbled across it here. Unfortunately my memory of it was slightly inaccurate or my tastes have changed quite a lot over the years. The program feels like a lo-budget British drama, they all seem to have the same look about them, hard to put into words, they just look very cheap.
There are a lot of clichéd characters, the mandatory stoner guy who has to be in every single show set in college, the appalling police chief who is one of the most one dimensional characters I've seen.
It's not all bad, Emily Woof is pretty good and some of the other cast members are alright, they are just let down by a very average script and very basic direction.- Was this review helpful to you?

Killer Net...
By a customer from Shipley , 06 Feb 2009All in all i thought the film was okay, well done considering technology in those days. But, it would have been much better if condensed into two hours, max. but three and a half hours? not good. It would also be good as a three part drama or something, as the storyline is quite cliffhanging at points.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dated.
By a customer from York, England , 04 Feb 2009A little bit more dated than I expected but still very enjoyable. In fact if you saw this on TV first time round as I did it is worth watching again, as I actually forgot large swathes of the plot and was quite surprised all over again by the end. Well written although the lead is far too posh and simpering and naive for you to feel any real pity for him. The rest of the cast are top notch especially the bald man!- Was this review helpful to you?
