yeat another superior European thriller

Reviewing my year of Tesco DVD selections revealed a surprising statistic - I have watched AND ENJOYED more European films than I have British/American offerings. Killing Words is excellent - you think you have got the measure of this story right from the word 'go' and then are continuously confounded (but not confused) by the subsequent twists and turns. As far as I can remember from the credits I think this is another 'written and directed by' scenario which, in my view, is always a good sign. Cannot supply anymore detail without spoiling a very good plot...suffice to say this film is not as gruesome as it suggests at the beginning but what it is, is extraordinarily compelling.
