Set in Copenhagen, a naive newspaper environment journalist is seconded to the Parliamentary team just three weeks before an election and on the day when the leading contender for Prime Minister is seriously injured in a car crash. As the journalist becomes caught up in the mesh of spin and political in-fighting, he struggles with truth, justice and 'doing the right thing' as each event challenges his (and our) understanding of politics.
Great casting and a tight, cropped editing style re-inforces the tension of this film; excellent drama which mixes the subtlety of 'House of Cards' with the crispness and drive of 'A History of Violence'
Most UK viewers will be familiar with the sleaze and spin in this surprisingly uncomplicated Danish political thriller. It is refreshing to find that there are still film makers out there who can create a tense and exciting film by using good writing and acting and not violence and sex.Excellent.
