    [Highly rated reviewer]

With stars like Arthur Askey, Ronald Shiner, Jack Train and Anne Shelton, this film was a real trip down Memory Lane. It is World War 2, and Arthur King (Askey) believes that he has come into possession of Excalibur, King Arthur's magic sword. There is plenty of scope for gags, including an exciting few minutes when genuine WW2 Bren Gun Carriers career madly through the English countryside. Both picture and sound quality were great, and it was a surprise to learn that it was produced in 1942. One of the best Askey comedies, and we enjoyed it very much.

I was never a fan of Arthur Askey and this film proves that he's alright in small doses.

The amount of rapid-fire one liners in this film must be the envy of a Comedians Convention. It is this that makes the film so memorable and funny and worth watching.
