Bela Lugosi at his best in this classic film. He is so EVIL!
Revolt of the Zombies:
Amusing but ill-conceived follow-up to 'White Zombie'. Acting very varable, particularly as footage of Bela Lugosi's mesmeric eyes from 'White Zombie' is shamelessly re-used. The 'twst' at the end is similar to 'Graduation Day' in its lack of actually holdnig a surprise. 'Graduation Day' is a supposed thriller-whodunnit severely let down by the fact that the DVD case tells you who did it!
King of the Zombies:
Had a 'comedy' black guy for whom one felt sympathy as it was obvious what he really wanted to say was 'Who the hell wrote this dreadful script?' He was probably one of the better actors - thus thoroughly wasted in the part he had to play. The racial attitude dates the film even more than SFX or it being black and white. However, if you can get past that, its quite funny.
