Kinjite - Forbidden Subjects

Businessman Hiroshi Hada's teenage daughter has been kidnapped and enslaved by a prostitution ring. And Lt. Crowe, a cop who hates the Japanese, has been assigned to the case. Fortunately for Hada, there's one thing Crowe dislikes more than the Japanese, and that's teenage prostitution rings. As a result, Crowe is hellbent in his very violent efforts to nail the pimp. Will he succeed? This thriller starring Charles Bronson is one of the best of the action star's career. Directed by regular Bronson collaborator J. Lee Thompson ('10 To Midnight').

Another Charles Bronson vehicle which you need a cast-iron gut to endure. This time the vigilante's friend plays an LA vice cop who teams up with a Japanese businessman whose daughter is kidnapped by a gang who enslave children in the sex trade. This utterly repellent premise is handled by regular Bronson director J Lee Thompson, as if it were merely an episode of Kojak rather than a serious subject. Bronson is decent enough, but we've seen him play the role of avenger so often he's turned into a photocopy of himself.

  • Depressingly violent and nasty thriller, little more than a rerun of the star's Death Wish vigilante series.
