(5)Wasted 3 hours of my life
By a customer , 17 Jul 2011Silly movie, wasted 3 hours of my life! I mean , I just kept watching till the end because I couldn't take my eyes off Hritik Rosnan!
The movie is great if you like stuffs like 007, speed or hallucinations of that type. Suitable for an audience of 11-14 y.o or adult with the IQ below 80- Was this review helpful to you?

KITES R US
By a customer from TUNBRIDGE WELLS, ENGLAND , 10 Mar 2011Delirious and highly-derivative cross between Priceless (2006) and The Getaway (1972) that very much focuses on emotional - rather than literal - realism. The love story is compelling despite the general incredibility of the proceedings on show. This is fun and enjoyable filmmaking that possesses - at its core - a believable romance that almost achieves Shakespearean proportions. The movie's view is as simple and as straightforward as can be: Love is more important than Death.
Barbara MORI is especially good as a star-crossed lover: She gets all the best lines, carries the emotional weight of the scenes she is in and is both sexy & funny: A classic Mexican spitfire; expertly-handling the culture-clash comedy. She also compensates for the weak characterization and acting of the other roles.
Bollywood doing what it does better than anyone else in the world.- Was this review helpful to you?

Only good for serious Bollywood fans
By a customer from UK , 05 Feb 2011The description makes it look like a Mexican film - it's not, it's a Bollywood film, and watching half an hour of it this morning was painful.
Unless you like random dancing and (mimed) singing every ten minutes, everyone looking 'perfect' and all characters being exceptionally rich (despite most Indians living in desperate poverty), then give this film a huge miss.
I quickly added this to my low priority list along with a load of others just so that I had the minimum 10 titles in my list.
Somehow I get this despite having others that have been high/medium priority for ages.....- Was this review helpful to you?

Good old fashioned romance
By dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 27 Jan 2011I liked the simplicity of the story and I thought it was rather unique in that the two main characters didn't speak the same language but still fell in love. There weren't really any Bollywood moments, no singing and minimal dancing but the acting was really good from everyone. Lots of action interspersed with some nice romantic scenes (nothing too explicit!) and some clever directing made this film very enjoyable to watch. The ending was a definate surprise and I am still not over it but I suppose it was fitting.- Was this review helpful to you?
