    In this lively thriller, Christopher Lambert stars as a chess master whose bid to win a major tournament takes an unexpected turn when his lover ends up murdered. As corpses start piling up like captured pieces, cop Tom Skerritt and psychologist Diane Lane start whittling away at Lambert's defence. Solid performances, especially from the suitably intense-looking Lambert, and some decent plot twists keep the picture on the boil sufficiently to delight thriller fans as well as chess players, who are rarely given the chance to enjoy movies based on this most dramatic and violent of games.

    right moves

    get this now, dont go thinking that it is about chess & will be boring cos it aint . this is probably the last good movie on lamberts cv

    Who's the Killer?

    Great Thriller movie from Christopher Lambert(HIGHLANDER,FORTRESS,) who plays a Grandmaster Chess Champion being framed for the gruesome murders of 5 gorgeous women.You don't know if he is the killer, or if it's someone else? (A bit like Basic Instinct in that we don't know whodunnit till the very end...)

    Tom Skerrit (TOP GUN) plays a great detective,Diane Lane (JUDGE DREDD)plays Psychiatrist/Love Interest and William Baldwin as Tom Skerrit's Partner who's really having a bad day and wants to take it out on someone, magic!!! Very well shot by a relatively unknown director and edited cleanly so as to keep you sucked on your seat for the next scene.very good.
