Now I saw this film way back when I was a youngster, but I loved it immediately and have ever since. It might be slightly dated now, since it was made way back in 1981, but still a highly enjoyable film.

A young Ed Harris plays King Arthur, and is surrounded by a group of like-minded people who all want to live out the dream of being knights in King Arthur's court, travelling around the country and performing rennaissance-type fairs for towns to make enough money to keep going, with the highlight being the jousting done with motorbikes!

Not going to say anymore than that, but found the film full of action, violence (I'm male, sue me), nudity (only topless) and best of all, an actual plot that catches the interest.

The fact that this is a film by George A. Romero, the master of zombie horror films, is a surprise, since it's completely different from his usual fare. Although, that's not always a bad thing, since it shows he has more under his hat than just gory horror flicks.

Oh, and see if you can recognise the cameo appearance of a certain well known author who went on to work on at least one project with Romero afterwards ;)

The most important note though, is that this film has *NO* connection to the television series Knightrider with Hasselhoff. In fact, *that* series came out the year *AFTER* this was released, so a case could be made for the name being stolen *from* this film. Just saying...
