The title says it all: a broadly acted mix of slapstick and kung fu, culminating in a well choreographed three-way fight in a restaurant.
Knockabout is a action and comedy martial arts movie. If u like some of jackie chans earlier films such as snake in the eagles shadow and drunken master you will like this movie. It is about two brothers who go around swindling people and getting themselves into fights along the way. The fight scenes in this film are brilliant and so is the comedy. I recommend you rent this movie if u r a fan of martial arts or action films.
The action in this is every bit as astonishing as you'd expect from Sammo and Yuen Biao (in his first lead). The story is a bit overfamilliar though, and the film suffers by comparison to Sammo's later masterpieces Warriors Two and The Prodigal Son. Still, for 90 minutes of martial arts flavoured fun you could do a lot worse.
