Oh, baby, I like it raw, Ol Dirty Bastard sings over the opening credits of Knocked Up. Well, who... read more on Time Out
I'll keep this one short, because the time it takes to read this review is approximately the same amount of your life that you should waste watching this film.
Put simply, the film attempts to rely on a barrage, actually an uninterrupted onslaught of bad language, to make up for its deficiencies, which are total. The plot is ridiculous, unbelievable, badly conceived (excuse the pun), and utterly pathetically acted. The language is the worst that I've heard outside of Eddie Murphy's Raw, which did actually manage to be funny alongside the cursing - whereas this just made me uncomfortable, and wonder if the screenplay had been penned by adolescents?
Avoid.
This film is a really excellent comedy. If you liked 40 year old virgin you will love this film. A must see.
This film is amazing, it is definately worth a watch and is so funny!!
Too long and predictable. All the best parts are in the trailer.

Slobby jobless Ben (Set Rogan) can't believe his luck when he meets an attractive charismatic career girl Alison (Katherine Heigel) in a bar, a one night stand and 2 months later and Alison is horrified to learn she is pregnant!
'Knocked Up' starts off as your by numbers 'American Pie' comedy but it soon becomes a very grown up, and very funny 'adult' comedy. When O say adult, I don't mean T&A, this film deals with real relationships and all the troubles and anxieties that they entail.
As well as the charismatic Rogan and Heigel the supporting characters are excellent too, from Bens' stoner mates ('Tell him not to jerk off with a noose around his neck - it's dangerous'), Alison sister and brother in law('You look like Babe Ruth's gay brother... Gabe Ruth') as well as smaller parts, in particular 'Saturday Night Lives'' Kristen Wiig as Jill, a snobby TV executive('We don't like liars in Hollywood')
The film never sags during it's lengthy 2 hour running time, even the trip to Vegas brings in the laughs with a hilarious conversation on magic mushrooms about the amount of chairs in their Hotel room ('Isn't weird how chairs exist even when you're not sitting on them?)
One of the best comedies of the year so far and, well why not, the feel good hit of the Summer!
I just can't believe this film is as well reviewed as it is. I watched it because it was in Uncut's list of top films of the year. Maybe I should unsub from Uncut!
It just feels like a movie-by-numbers from start to finish. The frat-style jokes are really tiring. It reaffirms a lot of hollywood steroetypes even though it was trying to lampoon them a few scenes earlier. The plot is unbelievable.
I tried to enjoy it and laughed in a few places (Ryan Seacrest's rant for example). But in the end I just didn't find it funny enough, touching enough or interesting enough to give it more than 2 stars.
If you are a 15 year old boy with the sense of humour of a 7 year old (giggles at 'naughty' words) then you will enjoy this prepubescent , utterly dreadful film.
I really enjoy watching Heigl in Gray's Anatomy, but she doesn't do it for me on the big screen as a leading lady. She lacks a certain 'x factor'. I am baffled that anyone would think this story likely: pretty 'E!' caster, has a drunken one night stand with this Canadian loser whose only worthwhile contribution is smoking the bong and setting up a website that tells other loser about movies with female nudity. I seriously doubt any woman in a club would sleep with someone like the Seth actor (where did they get this guy for leading actor???)UNLESS she was comatose drunk, which apparently Heigl's character was supposed to be. The acting was terrible and amateurish the story was really unlikely and the end was laughable. The only way this could have gone, is if she never saw the loser again, BUT then you wouldn't have a movie about a no hoper who is actually deep, deep, deep down inside a sweet guy, who steps up to the plate in the very end. Seriously people don't spend your hard earned money on this nonsense, it's just pitiful!
The trailer looked good, but they were the only funny bits in this very lengthy slow film.
If you took out all the 'F' words the script would be half as long!
The basic idea of the film was good but it could have been so much better (like 100%)
I can't believe it did so well at the box office. But if your about 15 and have half your brain removed then you would enjoy this film, but for anyone of 'normal' intellect leave it !!
As people have said before ( I have never understood it until now ) thats 2 hours of my life wasted!! Oh and a possibly enjoyable evening with my Wife lost!

At last, a rom-com the lads can actually enjoy and have a laugh with. Having read the synopsis and views of everyone else there's no need for me to repeat.
All I will say is there's something for everyone here, providing you like comedy and don't mind bad language. Ben and his mates are absolutely brilliant when they hang out and take the 'mick' out of each other like lads do when they get together. Much of these get togethers are unscripted and completely off the wall but it works brilliantly.
Yes, its very unbelievable how things progress and work out but its funny and its likeable so don't get hung up on the fact that this stunning blonde actually decides to give Ben a chance, just enjoy the ride.
