Sleep tight...

A big hit in its homeland, Koma is a twisted tale which remains surprisingly effective sometime after the credits roll.
There's enough tension in the opening act to keep the biggest of Eastern horror fans happy and the twisty nature of the final act becomes more and more appealing on repeat viewing.
But it's the performances of the two leads which makes Koma the satisfying night in that it so clearly is, both girls seem to be having an alarming amount of fun with the script and it's clear to see why both girls are so hugely popular in The East.
For us Westerners though, Koma is a very entertaining film which moves at a fast pace and keeps the shocks, twists and scares coming. The ending may never be in doubt but Koma is delivered with style to spare and it's hard not to enjoy it just a little.
A return to form for Tartan then, Koma should keep you awake in to the early hours.- Was this review helpful to you?

By juradino (811 reviews) from London , 12 Nov 2009This is generally inspired by 70s film Coma I think. At least in the sense that organ donorship can be source of business when criminally approached by expert professionals. When you get donor card and wake up in bath of ice you will know who got you. Great movie, made me guessing till the end, which becomes obvious after you've seen it. Recommend it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Pleasantly Dark!
By Squibbled (1 review) from London , 08 Feb 2009Twisted nice little love triangle affair, mixed in with sick kidney removal story line, makes this almost watchable with the rest of the family. Story line is great, pleasantly surprising at times, also makes you feel quite emotional when kidney remover girl talks about how sad her life has been and how lonely she actually is etc, but as we all know....the quiet ones are always the worst!! Plus the growing relationship between the main character and the kidney remover is quite intense at times where in the back of your mind you're thinking that maybe the two girls might actually have an affair aswell, within the actual affair itself!! It's not entirely terrifying, which is what I like about this film, it doesn't make you hide behind your hands but it's still interesting to watch and the characters are hot too!!- Was this review helpful to you?
