Kora Kagaz

A middle-class professor (Vijay Anand) falls in love with a wealthy student (Jaya Bhaduri). They marry, though her parents (Achala Sachdev and A K Hangal) are not very happy with the match. Her mother, especially, meddles continuously in the life of the couple and constantly finds opportunities to humiliate her son-in-law. Misunderstandings finally reach a stage when the couple separates. They meet, by chance, after many years in the waiting room of a railway station and all the memories come rushing back… Told almost entirely in flashback, this moving love-story is directed by Anil Ganguly and has a great soundtrack from Kalyanji – Anandji, which includes the title song ‘Mera Jeevan Kora Kagaz’ and the charming ‘Ruthe Ruthe Piya Manau Kaise’.
