Being such a big fan of Kylie i was really looking forward to this. Filmed in a 'In Bed With Madonna' style, the documentary follows Kylie on her Australian Homecoming tour after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.
As ever, Kylie is a a joy but the documentary also focuses way too much of it's maker William Baker which has been a criticism noted in several reviews. As nice as Kylie is we don't see her bitch, moan, get angry or reveal too much. Wether that is the 'real' Kylie or if for some reason it was edited to be this way by the maker or Kylie herself (who stopped the filming of the documentary on 4 other occasions) who know's!
It is a fascinating insight into her world and life on the road but it doesnt really show us anything new that we didn't already know. A more in depth un-edited version would have been excellent. I
The dvd is suppose to come with the full Homecoming concert which it doesnt. So that was mis-leading.
If you're a true kylie fan, this is for you. If not, this dvd will make you one. I didnt understand the 'hype' of kylie minogue, but after watching this you truly understand. After 20 years in showbiz, she is down to earth, humble, funny, cute and an amazing performer. Filmed from the view point of her best friend, this film shows the 'real' kylie, which is undeniably at her best.
