Kym Ryder has suffered with weight problems and is the busy mother of two children so a big thumbs up for her dedication and looking so great as a result of this programe!
I think this workout might be really effective! The dvd is emphasises three things form, fitness and food.
The Form is one of the most important parts of this DVD and makes a lot of sense as once you get this right and develop a habbit of using it should make a huge difference to anyone!
Split up into several sections it provides good variety and excellent resistance training.
As with a lot of DVD's out at the moment there is a lot of emphasis on boxing type training which I find a little annoying as it is just reworking Basic Tae Bo which has been out for years, is too easy for me and a little old hat! I love Billy's Boot Camp Ultimate but this is at an easy level!
The Abs workout is particularly good on this DVD - brilliant in fact!
Why only three stars? - well the music is terrible and the set was not particularly visual! + I prefer really hard and fast workouts and this was just not aerobic enough for my level.
Here's the thing - I am probably a lot fitter than the average person so unless you are reallyI super fit give this a go! I think a lot of women will like this!
If you have a basic level of fitness, then this might be a useful workout. It contains a good variety of workouts so that you can keep switching up and don't get bored. There is a huge emphasis on form - more than I've seen in any other fitness dvd. I think this really helps make the routine more effective.
Some of the exercises require you to have a partner. I think this is a bad idea for a home exercise dvd, though you can modify it with a bit of imagination. Also the 'sofa tone' section was a bit gimmicky for me.
Other sections just work one side of the body, which is a bit remiss in my opinion. In other parts, the instructor tells you 'this is just to give you some ideas' and basically tells you that you should do additional reps or vary the exercise in order to get a proper workout. This i annoying as I think that the workout should provide a complete routine from start to finish, without the viewer having to pause/rewind/add things in.
This is still a decent, basic workout, though probably not one I'll return to.
