The ground is thus set for events that were always meant to be. The friendship that develops between Diya and Arjun, spiced up with their opposing views on love and marriage, form the heart of the film.

It should be easy enough to detect the chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi in this amiable drama, as rumours of a romance between them was the talking point of the production. Samir Karnik's debut feature centres on that old Bollywood stand-by of the class and culture clash, as Rai leaves her widowed father, Tinnu Anand, in the coffee-plantation town of Coorg and heads for Mumbai to work in Amitabh Bachchan's orphanage. However, her good intentions are sidetracked by the free-spirited Oberoi, who's staying with his parents, Om Puri and Rati Agnihotri. This is fun if formulaic Bollywood fare that demonstrates the rise and rise of Rai is continuing to gather pace.
Arjun (Oberoi) realises he loves Diya (Rai) and must declare his love as she is about to marry Ishaan (Shetty). Is he... read more on Time Out
A typical love story where you fail to tell the other party how you feel. And guess what... half way through the film Mr Bachhan, yes the Big B himself, enters the film and played silly beggars. I wonder if he did this film just to remind people that he still exists.
Vivek Oberoy's acting was not superb, but not bad neither. Ashwariya wasn't too bad neither. My favourite in this film was Om Puri, who chips in beautifully for his part and Sunil Shetty?s presence in the last half adds some vigor to the story. Dia Mirza makes a cameo appearance of just one scene.
Verdict: Can be watched 'once'.
Wonderful packing, nothing inside. One sits through the movie wondering what made the makers waste their money on this project. Leading lady looks good, and once again proves that she is a director's actresses, without a talented director her acting skills are only limited to making faces. The main theme had potential, but the lousy direction (it feels at times as if one is watching a street play) could not do justice to that. Pace is inconsistent, though there are some brief movements which generate interest. At the end (you must be very patient to sit through it) one wonders what was it all about????
