It should be easy enough to detect the chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi in this amiable drama, as rumours of a romance between them was the talking point of the production. Samir Karnik's debut feature centres on that old Bollywood stand-by of the class and culture clash, as Rai leaves her widowed father, Tinnu Anand, in the coffee-plantation town of Coorg and heads for Mumbai to work in Amitabh Bachchan's orphanage. However, her good intentions are sidetracked by the free-spirited Oberoi, who's staying with his parents, Om Puri and Rati Agnihotri. This is fun if formulaic Bollywood fare that demonstrates the rise and rise of Rai is continuing to gather pace.
Arjun (Oberoi) realises he loves Diya (Rai) and must declare his love as she is about to marry Ishaan (Shetty). Is he... read more on Time Out
A typical love story where you fail to tell the other party how you feel. And guess what... half way through the film Mr Bachhan, yes the Big B himself, enters the film and played silly beggars. I wonder if he did this film just to remind people that he still exists.
Vivek Oberoy's acting was not superb, but not bad neither. Ashwariya wasn't too bad neither. My favourite in this film was Om Puri, who chips in beautifully for his part and Sunil Shetty?s presence in the last half adds some vigor to the story. Dia Mirza makes a cameo appearance of just one scene.
Verdict: Can be watched 'once'.
the movie is ok to watch if you havent seen a big banner film for a long time. Feel good type but could have been made 100% better
Wonderful packing, nothing inside. One sits through the movie wondering what made the makers waste their money on this project. Leading lady looks good, and once again proves that she is a director's actresses, without a talented director her acting skills are only limited to making faces. The main theme had potential, but the lousy direction (it feels at times as if one is watching a street play) could not do justice to that. Pace is inconsistent, though there are some brief movements which generate interest. At the end (you must be very patient to sit through it) one wonders what was it all about????
This was a fairly nice movie. Songs were excellent. Aishwariya looked beautiful as always. Big B was v.funny. The scenery was beautiful. Would recommend it for renting. One time watch.

AB was acting his age, for a change, funny
good movie. first half was very good. second one was dragged.
Slim storyline, but good performances from lead actors. Amitabh Bachchan shows great comic timing. Songs were varied and
music was very interesting and peppy. Could've been better
feeling low ? Want to watch like Main ho na ? This is the one. AR looks stunning as always, VO cant dance to save his life, AB, well he is AB !
One to keep and watch every so often.
Even though this movie bombed at the all important BO, it was suprisingly entertaining. The performances were great, the music was fantastic and the cinematography was out of this world. The look of this film is unique and really helped to hype the project up - but the film is void of repeat value, which is a very important thing if a movie is to be both commercially and critically successful. There are some really good cinematic moments in this film and I do advise you to watch it. It's a weird film, in a wonderful way!
