Cold, precise and terrifying
A scintillating drama
What a great film on such a simple premise! Wherease Hupert's character is simply ignorant and amoral, Bonnaire's is a huge deal darker and dangerous despite an unassuming exterior; and the chemistry between the two characters makes for an explosive denoument - even though you saw it coming, you don't care, and it may still suprise you. I was also just used to seeing Hupert as an ice maiden, but this is a massive departure, and I'm in danger of becoming a fan!
not the best film ever made, but it was well worth a watch with good performances from the two leads.
