When Sir Georg Solti heard the lovely Angela sing during rehearsals, he had to leave the room. Why? Well, her singing was so beautifully perfect that he couldn't control his tears and had to leave for a short time while he pulled himself together (source: http://www.angelagheorghiu.com/)

Three Acts, each one full of the finest quality singing and acting from Angela and Frank and expertly accompanied by Leo. All this takes place amongst beautifully crafted sets (especially Act 3) and makes this production of La Traviata, in my opinion, the best that has ever been performed.

If you rent this film, you will inevitably purchase it: hearing it once is not enough!

I promise you will fall in Love with Angela Gheorghiu's voice and passion.

About the reviewer: Strider

Can't watch any 'family' film - they always contain some 'cute' child whose one-liners could only come from an adult. Children just don't speak or behave like that you stupid writers! :) I'll probably avoid USA films: they seem to be the most predictable and annoying of all. Taking a fancy to Oriental films just lately.
