Set within the gated communities of Mexico, La Zona follows three young men from the wrong side of the fence, who manage to break into 'The Zone'.
After an attempted burglary goes badly wrong the boys flee for their lives, however, one gets left behind and hides. The members of La Zona decide to brandish their own form of justice and a group of vigilantes is despatched to 'take care' of the intruder. What follows is a dramatic cat-and-mouse game that incorporates family tensions and an impotent police force and poses the question: 'How far would you go to protect your home?'
