simply not worth watching

the story is not quite contemporary and so are charecters, i was bored thoroughly with this movie.rani was horribly unconvincing in her role.abhishek bacchan was very much stereotype(being modest!).i feel the director was too lazy to give a fresh treatment to such a story line, very disappointing as it is , and compared to parineeta ......just forget it.this movie comes no where close to it.stay away at all costs.- Was this review helpful to you?

By teegurl (9 reviews) , 04 Jun 2011Stunning...absolute 5 stars!...rani was amazing...rani mukherjee and abisheik- what an amazing blend! this is an absolute must watch chick flick for every woman...perfect for a girls night in or single view.i watched it wiv my sister who also loved it though not dat keen on indian movies..dis movie is centred around loyalty, family ties,independence,betrayal,true love,forgiveness...just incredible glad it received an award.please watch girls,u will love it!!- Was this review helpful to you?

I adore this film
By dumbolives (269 reviews) from Shetland , 28 Feb 2011Obviously from the synopsis everyone can tell what Rani M does when she gets to Bombay but don't worry, it is not done inappropriately and is not distasteful, which is a major plus. I am not sure if everyone would enjoy this film, maybe it is more for us girls. The relationship between the sisters is very sweet and totally relateable. Perhaps this was a bit predictable but nothing was rushed, every scene was well played and necessary. The songs weren't great but you can't have everything. I thought the idea was, if not totally original, a nice change from the same old same old. The wedding scenes towards the end were really quite lovely.
