Unobtrusive virtuoso acting from Maggie Smith, as the sensible sister, and Judi Dench, as the more childish and romantic one, give this unassuming, genteel and picturesque period drama a touch of class.

A Lovely Feel-good film for the laydees

Judi Dench has given the new James Bond Daniel Craig the thumbs up. Dench, who has been in all the Bond movies as spy chief M since Pierce Brosnan's 007 debut in GoldenEye, said that she and Craig had the right chemistry.
