    Convincing and heartracing

Although in no way breaking any new cinematic grounds Lakeview Terrace works in that it is convincing, with Jackson and Wilson both giving very strong and believable lead roles. The film continues to evolve with each scene making you more and more anxious. Great thriller well worth a watch

    Sam Jackson at his best

Enjoyable thriller, with the leading roles played very well. Sam Jackson is cool and creepy, but he has never made a bad movie in my opinion.

    welcome to the neighbourhood

there was so much quality on display here. from the cast right down to the superb writing. as we watch the relationship between the two sets of neighbours detoriate. from the off, samuel l jacksons character doesnt approve of the multiracial relationship between newlyweds chris and kerry, and it really shows. this was such an interesting way for the director to go about things. as he said himself, it's never really been done this way before. it was very refreshing to see, and the film really benefitted from it, with regards to the story.

    Really bad

This movie only gets worse. How 3 good actors agreed to film this bad script is beyond me. The characters do such stupid, nonsensical things that you sit in wonder and annoyed at their foolishness.

Don't waste your time. Samuel L Jackson (excellent in Jackie Brown + Pulp Fiction) and Patrick Wilson (excellent in Angels in America + Little Children) should fire their agents for advising or siding with them in allowing this crap to be made. I hope the studio lost money - because I lost time.

Would have been 5 except for the sound technicians

In spite of Jackson's usual type-cast monostyle, this would have been a 5.

    Really gripping.

But so much sound lost or blurred.

Whay can Hollywood not produce the crystal clear sound of 50s & 60s films?

Even Samuel L. Jackson can sometimes shoot a turkey

Nope - this movie doesn't work well at all. Samuel L Jackson as a racist cop who hates his new neighbours and makes their life hell. Er...and that's it. Puts a capital 'P' in Predictable and a capital 'D' in dull. A proper turkey complete with giblets. Avoid. 1 star just.

    Intelligent Thriller

This was a difficult topic to base a film on, race relations is not something that sits easy with anyone.  In this instance the subject was well dealt with and presented in a believable setting.  Jackson's character is not racist for the sake of it, something in his past has made him this way.

While I appreciate comments that it switched from a gritty drama to an outright thriller.  The tension was building up to a climax, the secondary story line about the fires was setting it up for a dramatic end, which it certainly delivered.

    Intense

I have been waiting a long time for this film and it didn't dissapoint.

S L Jackson plays a great bad guy in this film, I loved the way he's a cop who serves and protect ( well i would'nt want to live next door ). It was great as it wasn't a film where you knew what was going to happen next. Hire it you won't be dissapointed.
